Exam
The exam is given on the Saturday or Sunday following the conclusion of the class and the fee is not included in the tuition – it is an additional expense. The pricing is $499.00 for early registration, $599.00 if you wait and register less than 14 days before the scheduled exam date. Sitting the exam before departing the course is completely optional – you may elect to take the exam at a later date in a location of your choice. Instructor – Victor Marsh
Mr. Marsh holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and a Masters in Management Information Technology (MSMIT) from Colorado Technical University, a Bachelors of Science in Liberal Arts Computer Science from University of New York, and an Associates degree in Foreign Languages from Monterey Peninsula College. Mr. Marsh has over 24 years of Information Technology experience including: security, network design, speech recognition, and computer hardware design. Since 1990, Mr. Marsh has performed work as a senior security consultant, project manager, senior technology consultant, and Department of Defense subject matter experts (SMEs). Senior security and technology consultant responsibilities included: design and development of secure enterprise network architectures, both foreign and domestic, public and private sectors, development of functional concepts and technical design, design and development of system architecture and software, and software-hardware integration. Mr. Marsh has held and currently holds several industry accepted certifications including: Certified UNIX Administrator, Certified Database Administrator, Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), and Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
Prerequisites
The minimum professional experience requirement for CISSP certification will be five years of relevant work experience in two or more of the 10 domains of the CISSP CBK, or four years of work experience with an applicable college degreeor a credential from the (ISC)2-approved list. The current requirements for the CISSP call for four years of work experience in one or more of the 10 domains of the CISSP CBK, or three years of experience with an applicable college degree or a credential from the (ISC)2-approved list.
Candidates for any (ISC)2 credential will be required to obtain an endorsement of their candidature exclusively from an (ISC)2-certified professional in good standing. The professional endorsing the candidate can hold any (ISC)2 certification ? CISSP, SSCP or CAP. Currently, candidates can be endorsed by an officer from the candidate’s organization if no CISSP endorsement can be obtained. The board believes that only an (ISC)2-credentialed professional bound by its Code of Ethics should provide a candidate endorsement.
